What is a covid piercing?
The covid piercing, also known as a vagus piercing or Daith piercing, is placed by us in the cartilage of the ear, at the spot where a branch of the vagus nerve runs. This vagus nerve is a nerve that originates in the brain and extends to the organs in the chest and abdomen, and it influences, among other things, heart rate, breathing, and digestion. By subtly stimulating this nerve, some practitioners believe that the body may be better able to regulate and recover itself.

Our team has studied the function of the vagus nerve and has undergone additional training for this, including focused education in acupuncture. We apply this knowledge when precisely placing the piercing at a specific point in the ear, using specialized tools that help determine the correct location.

Although the effect of the piercing has not been scientifically proven, many clients, especially people with long covid symptoms, report improvements in their energy levels, mood, or physical resilience.
